eFilm Workstation® 4.3  |  datasheet


As previously announced in March of 2021 and posted on our web site, support for our eFilm portfolio inclusive of eFilm Workstation®, eFilm Lite™ and eFilm Scan™ will be going end of support as of June  30, 2022. 

What does this mean for you?

The following items are important operational RISKS for your organization as of 30-June-2022 end of support date:

·       There will be no product development or security improvements provided.

·       You will not have help for eFilm support such as data/study migration.

·       If you need replacement license keys for hardware failures, OS installations or otherwise, we will not be able to provide a license key.  The eFilm eStore will also be unavailable to you for license generation or other functions

·       If you need to reinstall eFilm Workstation software for hardware failure or otherwise, we will not be able to provide you with the software as it is end of support.

Due to the above risks, we highly recommend that you move to identify and implement a replacement option for eFilm at the earliest and have this replacement in place before the 30-June-2022 end of support date.  

- You will be able to still download eFilm 4.3 in case you need a replacement install (Hard drive failure for example) only through 6/29/22

- You can still manage your existing licenses in the estore through 6/30/2022 (the end of support date)

Dear Customer:

Our eFilm solutions have been flexible DICOM viewing tools for many customers over the past 25 years. Starting out as the first free medical imaging viewer, eFilm has evolved into many uses, including teaching, CD burning and QA back-up.  However, the medical imaging market now contains many alternatives, and thus the eFilm user community has shrunk considerably.

 Given this, we have decided to formally start the process to retire the product.   This process has three important steps for you to understand today:

1-      We will end development of new innovation releases on eFilm effective immediately.  Development in support of maintaining eFilm will continue.

2-      We will end sales of eFilm effective May 1, 2021 due to a regulatory requirement regarding ongoing CE marking of the product.   After this date, we can no longer sell eFilm licenses of any kind.  We will be working with you over the next months to ensure that you have the proper licenses prior to the end of sales date.

3-      We are planning to end support for eFilm effective June 30, 2022.  We will work with you to ensure that you have the proper support contracts in place through that date.
